TEHRAN Scores of youth riding on motorcycles rampaged through the streets of Falavarjan and beat a large number of Afghan refugees with sticks and chains on Friday. Eyewitness reported seeing many injured Afghans throughout the city.

Unemployment has exacerbated tensions in the region

Eyewitness said that the situation was out of control and no one could have arrested the raiders. The injured Afghans, fearful about their security, didn't seek medical help.
